Could Library add the Google Scholar choice in the new homepage that just like the old one? By the way, the Encore & Scopus are also quite useful when locating relevant journal articles, could it be put it on the homepage / frontpage as well? Thanks.

The new library website looks ridiculous. It looks like something that a year nine computer studies child has designed. Change it back immediately, this is hardly the image the best library in Australia should communicate.
Hi. I just wandered past ezones 1 and 2 in the Duhig tower and noticed that although the rooms were locked, all of the computers were turned on. I have no idea how much energy this was using. I know the library tries to be efficient where it can, but it is a Saturday, the rooms are unaccessible and yet all of those computers were still burning electricity.
I wonder why in the SS&H library there are no popular computer journals eg Australian Personal Computer or PC Authority, or some such Australian-based title. Since everyone needs to use digital technology surely it is important to have some computer journals for those who are not specialists. These journals (or magazines) are technically complicated to some extent but able to be understood by the intelligent layper
Dear all, this new website is awfully bare, and looks very unrepresentative. Also, I am not sure about its' user friendliness, as all the links that I normally use appear to have disappeared.
Is is possible for the Fryer Lib to acquire a decent set of Australia wide Births Deaths and Marriages microfiche? Such a resource is indespensable when you're doing biographical research. I know that the move within Libraries is to make a few quid from biograpical researchers and genies by having them use the Pioneers Indexes (which don't include specific dates, and which half the time crash and stay down for days)
I HATE the new format for the website. Having Keyword search as the only option available from the first interface is REALLY annoying. I always do TITLE searches. Keyword is useless and generates a whole heap of unnecessary results.
Where do I find "other libraries" ie libraries australia on the new website?
The 'new look' web page seems like a step backwards to me. I guess I must have missed the client survey!
