I, and many of my peers, are extremely disappointed at the Biological Science library renovation. It is a library: a place of STUDY. There are NO silent private study desks, let alone any areas of quiet study. The group rooms are inappropriate for private study and studying amongst the computers is too distracting as students have discussions about their study (and there are no notices anywhere to say that ANY area o

I liked the library the way it was before with both lockable single study rooms and single 'cubicle' desks on the upper levels. Please bring back silent study areas and singular desks: this is rediculous!! Sure it looks pretty, but all it is at the moment is a glorified computer room with some books "cluttering up the computer work-space". Jess

Suggestion regarding the Biological Science Library. Following renovation the study area with study desks ( without computers) have been removed, an area resevered to studying was very helpful and created a good learning environment. It is very hard to study or even work on an assignment in the library now as most people using the computers talk loudly among themselves. It would be great if at least the top floor h

I was wondering if there was any particular rfeason that even when you print two to a page you are still charged for the original number of pages (IE a 16 page article printed on 8 pages is still charged at 16 pages). Is there any way to reduce these printing costs or do we need to print them elsewhere?

The journal Museum management and curatorship is available online through ScienceDirect, many of the articles I want are described as non-subscribed, and full text can't be accessed. Since the library does not have a paper copy, is document delivery the only option for these articles?

I am very upset that the biological library has decided to introduce corporate advertising into student spaces. I personally find the first floor 'projection wall' distracting and uneccessary anyway - seeing anz and intel ads concerns me very very much. apart from the implication of plastering advertising over student space- the fact that anz is being advertised displays a complete lack of screening for ethically acc

Hi there! I am a postgraduate student here at the University of Queensland. I just would like to suggest longer opening hours. Ideally I'd like the library to be open 24hours but I believe the library should be open until at least 10pm during the whole week (yes even the weekend). As a full time worker it is these out of hour times that I need to access the library. Even if there was simply a study room that had a 2
