Can you please tell students to not sit around the aisles and not obstruct thoroughfares in the Library as I have found that in one area I almost fell over trying to get past them with some library items?

I am a postgrad student of another university and I know that I can access some of UQ's databases from the branch libraries, but I can't find out where this information is found on the new library home page under "Information". I'm not general public, and I'm not an external student at UQ. Do I exist?

Thanks for adding the quicksearch feature; however it's not really useful for the default setting to be for keyword searching rather than title searching. When I need something quickly it's usually a journal title or other title that I know about; I typically conduct keyword searches for material that I don't know about specifically and I expect to spend more time on such searches. Thanks for reading this suggestio

I have recently returned to the Social Sciences Library and would like to commend the efforts made with painting the library and improving maintenance etc. I was wondering though if there could be some effort made in improving overall hygiene as I have noticed a few 'sweaty' and 'musty' smells lingering within the library. Is there a possibility of improving overall air quality within the Library?

None of my browsers could read the PHP files and the PDF downloads use too much paper when printed. A "Word .doc" option would be useful, would stop me from tearing my hair out!

Dear librarian, This is not a comment about your services. It is a general query and I would be very grateful if you could forward it to someone who could answer it. My research shows that the Darambol people lived in the Yeppoon area before white settlement. Could you please tell me their word for 'turtle'? I have not been able to track it down from any source. Many thanks for your help.

there is an incorrect link on the new libary interface under research postgraduates (http://www.library.uq.edu.au/services/researchpg.html) the link to "your record" under the "services & facilities" heading goes to "end note". the other link on the left of the page to "your record" is correct however. cheers - roy hornsby

The new Library homepage looks interesting, and the catalogue search from the homepage is a good idea. Why is it a keyword search though, given the outcry the last time keyword was made the default (not that many months ago)? More focus group findings?
