Hello. For the past 2 days (Thurs 25 & Fri 26th Jan) I have been trying to access Ovid Medline from home. It will not load with Firefox. With IE it will load, but when I search it gives me a message that it cannot find the page. http://gateway.ut.ovid.com.ezproxy.library.uq.edu.au/gw1/ovidweb.cg When I used it again in the library yesterday, there didn't seem to be a problem. Can you investigate remote access pl

Is it really necessary to discontinue my library privaleges at this time EVERY year? You have my publications on your shelves, yet you won't take my word for it that I remain employed at RBWH.

Just a brief thank-you for a series of images (821-860)of the Hernhill/Boughton-under-Blean area of Kent. The Humes must have been related to or friends with the Dawes of Hernhill, who have been here since the 1690s (and are still our neighbours). The pictures of Mountfield have not been seen in England before (as far as I know) and are stunning. And the Miles' Mill views! (That's Boughton, not Brighton!) Dawes famil

At the end of last year there were two or three weeks where the library went to summer semester opening hours while the third years were still on rotation. This was a problem because the last few weeks of a rotation is when you would really like to be using the library for study and use of reference books....(cont) Again at the beginning of this year there is a week where the fourth years are back on rotation and the library is on limited opening hours, which can be a hassel. I feel that since the Herston Medical Library is pretty much specifically for the medical students, it's opening hours should reflect the medical students' semester times... (cont) i appreciate hearing back about this.

Hello. That was a good suggestion about calendars - but it jogged my memory about clocks! Would it be possible to have wall clocks in the photocopy areas in SSH? They seem to have disappeared last year, and it is really difficult to be punctual without a clock when one has to stop copying in time for a class or a bus.

Hello I'm glad you are or will be using recycled paper in the printers and photocopiers - thanks for that! I wonder, however, if it would be possible to make double-sided printing the default, or at least, easier to set as one's temporary default, from the library PCs. Just imagine how much paper and how many trees and cuddly animals that would save!

Are you able to let us know when the Printer on Level 3 of SSH will be fixed or replaced? It's been broken for weeks and weeks now! It is really very inconvenient indeed to have to go down to level 1 for every piece of paper we print, especially if we are working on level 4! Or is it a new approach to making students exercise more?
