CALICO Journal (Electronic version) The Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium the journal's website https://www.calico.org/p-5-CALICO Journal.html This is a very good journal for applied linguistics students; Our library has the hardcopy; I assume that the electronic version should be automatically suscribe with the hardcopy, but I can not find the electronic version in our libiary database.

The staff in the SSH library are always very helpful. Layout pretty good except when books are placed wrongly.

I suggest that the main (SSH) library should have a general science section, called e.g. 'General Science". The reason is that a lot of interesting writing about the broader aspects of science has relevance for the humanities. An example is "Challenging Nature" by Lee Silver (Princeton)which deals brilliantly with the interface between biotechnology and ethics. Another is "Chasing Hubble's Shadows" (Hill and Wang) by

Could there please be a one minute warning when Sleepy is about to come into effect? The fifteen minute warning is insufficient. Alternatively, if only one warning is found to be appropriate, it would be much better to have it closer to the time that the computers are shut down, such as five minutes before.

I find that the annoucements made upon closing time are very intrusive and unnecessary. I understand the need for two or three announcements, but the five that are read out in the Law Library are completely repetitive. There should only be short annoucements at 4:30, 4:45 and 5:00pm (or quivalent times when the library closes at other hours). Why are so many annoucements necessary? The title of the book at call number NB115 .B7 1963 is incorrect. It should be 'denote' not 'demote'. Changes the meaning significantly!
