I just want to congratulate the UQ library website. As a doctor I use your website almost on a daily basis, either at work or at home. I really value the ease of access I have to medical journals. I'd be lost without it!

I'm trying to locate an issue from the British Journal of Canadian Studies - vol.17(2), 2004. The catalogue says that UQ has received issue 1 for vol.17, but nothing later. Can you chase this with the publisher as MLA describes an article from Issue no.2 that I wish to read. Thanks!

The LBC database appears to be down, not good timing in the middle of exams, particularly as the Library only subscribes electronically to the looseleaf I need! Is this problem at our end or LBC's?

I'd like to suggest another online resource for Atlases and Maps page: www.aus-emaps.com (this site offers comprehensive location search and topographic maps at 1:250K and 1:5M - in addition to google street maps and satellite imagery).

We've just come across the Bookshop listing on your Library site(http://www.library.uq.edu.au/nott/subject_vr.php?id=BO). Would you please consider adding Management Books (www.managementbooks.com.au), the Australian Institute of Management's bookshop based at Spring Hill? Thank you. - General Manager Info Services, AIM

The announcements in the law library requesting overdue group room keys be returned is very distracting. Could you please have the librarians walk over to the rooms and knock, instead of using the PA system? From what I see the tardiness of a few students, leads to the disruption of ALL the users of the library

It is good you've put up notices reminding us not to eat or drink in the library, but from a user's point of view in SSH it would be even better if you were to remind people about the need to be QUIET in silent study areas & in the lobby areas outside the lifts & that group study involving talking is only permitted in group study areas. As for mobile phones and their use: sometimes its so hard to concentrate! Thanks

You should fine people (say $20) who talk on their phones in the library. Some people will just ignore the rules if there is no punishment.

I can see that the Library took seriuosly the issue about food at Fryer. I can see library staff that several times during the day walk around and, when needed, sensitize students about not drinking anything but water...I still consider that gathering students in a focus group and understanding how Fryer is used and why Fryer is different from SS&H as whole would help a better management of the facility
