When you log on to the library computers and Internet Explorer opens up to the library site (set as the homepage), there used to be a link to my.UQ in the top right hand corner of the page but it seems to have been removed now. It is still on other UQ pages (including some of the library catalogue pages), but having it on the home page cuts down the need to follow links or type it in manually. Thanks.

It is a disgrace that it is necessary to study in the SS&H in a virtual freezing room, particularly on the fourth level, which necessitates heavy clothing to just survive. This was not the situation last year so what is going on, and why can't there be a reasonable degree of air-conditioning? Let the bureaucrats who control the system sit some time where the students have to study, and see what is the real situati Reply:

Why can't the Herston Medical Library remain open all day Sunday? It is really inconvenient to not have accesss to the library [THE ONLY MEDICAL LIBRARY OPEN ON A SUNDAY], even for such a short time. I can see two library staff members here. Why is it not possible to stagger lunchbreaks? (as I do in my job, and every job I have ever worked in). If, as I recall, library security is the stated reason, please explain th

I can't open the Patrologia Latina from this workstation (LIB-SSH325). Other databases delivered through the Novell system do seem to be opening without problems. The Office applications, however, are missing from Novell on this PC.

I've just returned to UQ after being away for about a year, and I'm having trouble accessing the library catalogue via Telnet. Can we still do this? I hope so, as it is much faster and easier than the web catalogue.

Please install a photocopier-style paper-to-PDF scanner in the Law Library so users can make electronic copies of documents that are not available electronically and of which they need copies for future reference. This saves paper and, in my experience, it is easier to manage a database of scanned documents when 100s of documents are required for research than to manage photocopies in binders.

This is a bit of an odd suggestion. How about providing a selection of Classical Music CD's at branch libraries such as law for people to listen to while they are studying. As a result of there being a number of good budget re-releases out there, this would not be a financial drain on library resources. It is also a good way to support the arts and to encourage the community to listen to classical music.

I can't find uq_humanities_index_wilson in the list of EndNote filters on this workstation (LIB-SSH325). I have found it on neighbouring machines recently, so I'm not sure what is wrong here. Me perhaps?
