      EndNote UQ Library Training

Classes are free for University of Queensland staff and students.

EndNote is bibliography-generating software which allows you to create a database of references (journals, books, reports etc.) which you can import from on-line searches or type in manually. EndNote allows you to export references in footnotes, endnotes, bibliographies, or in main text using over 200 bibliographic styles.

This course will cover the basic skills required to get started using the EndNote software and allow you to create your own reference database, and then by using your database generate a bibliography in your papers, books and theses.

Prerequisite classes: There are classes you should have attended and skills you should have acquired before you come to an EndNote class. You should have attended:

      • Library Training Sessions: "Getting Started in the UQ Library" and "Finding Information for Your Assignments"
      • Ask I.T. Training Sessions on Microsoft Word

Bookings: Booking a place in class is required. You can phone or email. The information is under the location for each class. If you have successfully booked into a class you will receive confirmation either by email or by phone.

Confused about which bibliographic software to use? Read the information on which tool should I use on the UQ Library's Referencing software and guides page.
