MacIntosh computers: Direct export from databases

  • See the training video EndNote: Direct Export with Firefox from EndNoteTraining, December 15, 2009.
  • See also EndNote FAQ: I am trying to export search results from a website into EndNote using Internet Explorer or Safari under Mac OSX, but I cannot get it to work. Whenever I try to export it just saves a file to my desktop. How can I fix this?
  • Using Safari: when exporting files into an EndNote library from databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, and databases on EbscoHost, Proquest or Informit platforms, the record file automatically goes into Download folder. Go to the download folder either on the Dock or in the Finder window, drag the file and drop it on EndNote program icon either on the Dock or in the Finder window. Select the library when prompted, the file should appear in the library.
