Module 2: Finding Information for your Assignments


Learning Outcomes

Once you have completed this module, you will be able to:

  • Understand the basic structure and organisation of databases
  • Develop an appropriate search strategy for searching a bibliographic database
  • Conduct searches relating to assignment needs in appropriate databases

You should begin by working through the module from beginning to end - it will probably take about an hour and a half. At a later date, you may like to revisit individual sections to refresh your memory as needed.

  • Activity 2.3 - Searching Web of Knowledge databases
  • Activity 2.4 - Constructing your search
