Module 1: Getting Started in the UQ Library


Learning Outcomes

Once you have completed this module, you will be able to:

  • Identify and locate information about the services offered by the UQ Library
  • Search for relevant resources using the Library catalogue

You should begin by working through the module from beginning to end - it will probably take you about an hour. At a later date, you may like to revisit individual sections to refresh your memory as needed.

Module 1 includes:

  • Activity 1.1 - Browsing the Library home page
  • Activity 1.2 - Accessing your Library record
  • Activity 1.3 - Locating assistance for computing problems through Ask I.T.
  • Activity 1.4 - Locating selected links on the Library home page
  • Activity 1.5 - Searching for titles using the catalogue
  • Activity 1.6 - Searching for journal titles using the catalogue
  • Activity 1.7 - Searching for information about your topic using the catalogue
