Creating a New StyleIn EndNote, click on Edit on the menu bar. From the drop-down menu, select Output Styles. Then select New Style. This will open a style edit window.
To name the style, select File then Save As. All styles should be saved in your EndNote styles folder. By default, the location of this folder is: When saving the style, the File Name should be the title of the journal, or some abbreviation of that title. In this case, we shall name the file Biochemical Syst Ecol and by default it will be saved with the file type .ens (for EndNote Style). The different sections of the style file are listed in the frame on the left-hand side of the style window (see above). Click on any of these, and you will see the relevant options displayed in the panel on the right-hand side of the style edit window. We shall work through these sections, one by one. It is not necessary to enter any data in the About This Style section.
