About the Service
The Library provides an online requesting and delivery service for journal articles held in its closed access collections (Warehouse).
Books in the Warehouse may be requested by using the "Request" button in the Library catalogue.
Who may use this service?
To use this service, you must:
  • Be a registered user of the Library
  • Have an email address in your Library record (if not, you will be prompted to add one)
Non-registered users wishing to request journal articles from the Warehouse should ask at the Loans Desk at any branch library.
How much may I request?
  • UQ students, staff and teaching hospital staff - unlimited number of documents
  • All other registered members and visitors - a limit of 20 documents per year
How to request an article
  1. Search for a journal in the Library's catalogue
  2. Click on the "Request article" link in the holdings section of the catalogue record for the journal, e.g.

    Library Has58(1971)-114(1998);115(1999)-
    Latest Received: November 1999 v.116 no.5

  3. Identify yourself and click on the "Login" button
  4. The first time you login, you will be presented with an instruction page (similar to the one you are reading now)
  5. Click on   or  Return to record
  6. Fill in the request form
  7. Click on the "Continue" button
  8. You will see a confirmation page and you will also receive a confirmation email
  9. You will receive an email notification of the article's arrival
  10. Click on the link in the email
  11. Enter the item ID for the article
  12. Access the article
  13. The article will remain available for 2 weeks or 5 downloads, whichever comes soonest (for copyright reasons)
