The Library of Congress has digitised a huge collection of recordings which users can access via the National Jukebox. If you have ever wondered what Caruso sounded like, or you love Irving Berlin, or you'd like to take a walk down Tin Pan Alley, then this is the place for you. The site contains more than 10,000 recordings made by the Victor Talking Machine Company between 1901 and 1925. It brings you the sounds of another era, including performances of opera.
