wangfang.gif Wanfang Data, an affiliate of the Chinese Ministry of Science & Technology, provides access to a wide range of database resources, serving as a gateway to Chinese culture, medicine, business, science and engineering. For example:

  • China Online Journals: Indexes about 7,320 full-text journal titles published in China, covering over 90% of the core journals in areas such as arts, humanities, education, business, economics, finance, social sciences, law, politics and philosophy.
  • Dissertations of China: includes Master's theses, Doctoral and Post-Doctoral dissertations from Chinese research institutions from 1980 onward.
  • China Local Gazetteers: currently contains over 20,000 volumes of Chinese gazetteer books, covering 31 provinces and autonomous regions. The database provides detailed geographic and historical records of provinces, prefectures, cities, and smaller district administration units.
  • Academic Conferences in China: contains full-text, abstract and other descriptive information of papers from national and international conferences held in China from 1986 onward.
  • Chinese Companies and Products: provides easy access to the Chinese business community and business information. It is an essential gateway to Chinese business world.
  • China Business Reference: Chinese business information and relevant matters (including laws, standards and patents)
  • Chinese Studies Online: Search multiple databases in one click.
