Welcome to the Library strategic planning 2013 blog

The University of Queensland Library is developing a new strategic plan for 2013 - 2016.

The planning process will be open and consultative -- all of our stakeholders will have the opportunity to engage with and have input into the process. Stakeholders include Library staff, UQ students, UQ staff, UQ Alumni, Teaching Hospital staff and the wider community.

This blog provides a public forum for information and discussion, and is readable by anyone. Login to post a comment on the blog. Anyone can subscribe to an RSS feed of the blog.

To help us align our strategies for the future with the wishes and expectations of our user community, we are asking the question:

If the Library genie offered you three wishes - what would you wish for ?

Submit your wishes here

Your answers will be part of the formal launch of the planning process at 2pm on Monday 25th March in the Library Conference Room, Level 1, Duhig Building.

Genie wishes

First would be: to employ an expert in designing online tutorials for both RIS & TALS Second would be: information literacy is embedded into all first year courses, obligatory & assessable. Third would be: more library promotion activities & publications getting "out there" to patrons in formats to which they relate no matter what their background.
