Team meeting #12
Team members met with Brett Mayze on 10/5 to debrief, following the four stakeholder focus group meetings on May 2nd and 3rd; and to discuss the next steps.
Focus groups:
The four scenarios, and the reports from each focus group, can be accessed from the Strategic Planning 2013 website (see under 'What's been happening'; entry for May 2-3).
Members of the team also at the focus groups agreed that all attending stakeholders were fully engaged. They contributed valuable insights to the future scenarios, and also to current Library service and infrastructure.
Next steps:
The team discussed the voting results on Library values (collected at the launch day, and via an online survey) - and how to work data into 5 or 6 values which will become the cornerstones of the Library's daily code of practice. The values will lead discussion on behaviours, with Library staff input to be sought. The Library's vision will be set towards the end of the process.
Brett will prepare an outline of the managers' strategic planning days. There will be an environmental scan, discussion about where to take Library services, and planning of strategies to bridge gaps. Input received so far via Genie wishes, the focus groups, values, taglines, etc will be incorporated into the planning days.
