Blogs > Social Sciences and Humanities Library Blog

The Internet Archive Wayback Machine is a service that allows people to visit archived versions of Web sites. Visitors to the Wayback Machine can type in a URL, select a date range, and then begin surfing on an archived version of the Web

So If you are feeling nostalgic about earlier versions of the Library Webpage or want to see archived webpages check out the way back machine

Comments

It's also a useful tool if you get a "page not found" or a "page no longer exists" error message when you click a link - right click on the link to get to properties, copy the URL and paste it into the WayBack machine to go back to the version of the page that used to be there.

Great for internet newspaper or magazine articles that don't stay posted permanently - just remember you aren't seeing a current piece of information!
