Research News – UCSF Health Sciences Campus Becomes Largest in America to Adopt Open-Access Policy

UCSF.JPGThe University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Academic Senate has voted to make electronic versions of current and future scientific articles freely available to the public. Richard A. Schneider stated "The primary motivation is to make our research available to anyone who is interested in it." The new policy will require UCSF faculties to place articles immediately in to an open-access repository, in doing so, USCF aims to achieve the ultimate goal of making scientific publications available to all.
