The world of Linked Data recently got bigger with Nature adding some data to the community. The NPG Linked Data Platform provides access to datasets published as linked data and made available through SPARQL services.

The data can be interactively queried through a form interface and remotely through a service endpoint. Sample queries can be found here. Datasets are being released under an open metadata license, Creative Commons Zero (CC0), which permits maximal re-use.

What can you get?

  • Data about articles published by NPG from 1869 to date (this comprises more than 450,000 articles)
  • NPG product and subject ontologies

The following service features are supported:

  • caching
  • streaming
  • content negotiation
  • built-in namespaces

They welcome comment or feedback - let them know what you think at developers@nature.com.
