doab.jpg Soon to come after the Directory of Open Access Journals, and the Directory of Open Access Repositories is the Directory of Open Access Books. The beta version of the service will be made public in early (northern hemisphere) spring this year.

The DOAB will provide a searchable index to peer-reviewed monographs and edited volumes published under an open access business model, with links to the full texts of the publications wherever they are housed. Some may be at publisher web sites or stored in repositories.

The DOAB will be launched by the OAPEN Foundation. More detail on their announcement is here.
