Anyone teaching or developing data management training might be interested in Frameworks for a Data Management Curriculum, a modular case-based approach for data management instruction. The framework was developed by the Lamar Soutter Library at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and the George C. Gordon Library at Worcester Polytechnic Institute as part of an IMLS National Leadership Planning Grant, "Planning a Data Management Curriculum and Requirements for a Collaborative Repository".

The curriculum aims to address best practice in data management and to examine open source solutions for data storage.
