CSIRO's Data Access Portal provides access to data published by CSIRO across a range of disciplines, in order to facilitate sharing and re-use of the data CSIRO holds. You can search for something specific or browse either by keyword (choose from from a tag cloud), or by data tagged with Field of Research Codes, from where you can drill down into sub-fields. The Browse section will acquaint you with the kinds of data you can expect to find.

Current collections include Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries Sciences, Earth Sciences, Climate Change Processes, Climatology, Environmental Sciences, Ecological Impacts of Climate Change and Physical Sciences.

The Data Access Portal also offers a 'specific search' facility that allows researchers to use search criteria particular to that area of scientific research. The specific tools currently include geospatial search, pulsar observation search, and micropscopy from the Australian Animal Health Laboratory.

The list of available specific search facilities will be expanded over time.
