Rather than relying on traditional measures such as citations alone,Total-Impact aggregates impact data from many sources and displays it in a single report. The report is given a permaurl to facilitate dissemination of its contents. Reports can be updated as impact measures change.

Who might use it?

  • researchers who want to know how often their work has been downloaded, bookmarked, and blogged
  • research groups interested in the broad impact of their work
  • funding bodies who want to look beyond traditional metrics when assessing research impact

Total-Impact currently tracks a wide range of research artifacts, including papers, datasets, software, preprints, and slides. Data can be downloaded to allow further analysis. Check out what metrics they use.
