Research skills for an innovative future
There is a newly released Australian Government research
workforce report,
Research skills for an innovative future, to cover the decade to
2020 and beyond. Prime Minister Julia Gillard, in introducing the report
describes, "An innovative Australian economy is critical to our nation's
future. Success in the 21st century belongs to those societies that value
qualities such as creativity, innovation and problem-solving." The aim is
to ensure that Australia has the quantity of researchers required to meet our
future needs.
