CORDIS, the European Union's science, research and development service has three goals:

• to facilitate European research
• to enhance use of the results of research
• to spread knowledge to foster the acceptance of new technology.

The service, whose long title is Community Research and Development Information Service for Science, Research and Development, provides news, funding opportunities, and information on results. It also lists hundreds of current requests for partnerships and collaborations. These can be sorted by country or by the expertise required, e.g. technology transfer.
