Open Scholarship seminar

Blogs > eScholarship: research data, publishing, impact ...

What is open scholarship? Why is it important? How open are we at UQ to the values around open scholarship? And how do we compare to Europe and North America?

These ideas will be canvassed in an upcoming seminar:

Open Scholarship Attitudes and Intentions at UQ: comparing UQ to North American, European & South African Higher Education Institutions, presented by Dr Joseph Hardin, Director Mujo Research, and Professor Emeritis, The University of Michigan.

Where: Terrace Room, (Rm 613) Sir Llew Edwards Building (Building 14, St Lucia Campus)
When: 6 October, 2011, 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm.

Dr Hardin is a collaborator in the CEIT project Open Scholarship @ UQ, and co-PI on the research project that has recently distributed a survey to a stratified random sample of members of the UQ Community to learn their attitudes, opinions and beliefs about Open Scholarship. His talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

The seminar is part of the Vice Chancellor's Seminar Series on Open Scholarship.
