klout.jpg If you tweet and post, you might wonder how much influence you have. A new downloadable application, called Klout, aims to help you measure the impact you have in social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare, YouTube, Blogger, Flickr, Instagram, Last.fm and Tumblr.

A Klout Score is based on a number of variables and uses data from social networks in order to measure:

  • How many people you influence (True Reach)
  • How much you influence them (Amplification)
  • How influential they are (Network Score)

Klout is about to release a series of topics pages to highlight the most influential people online, based on their Klout social influence scores, across a range of subjects. More than 80 million people are scored by Klout from the 200 million plus pieces of content Klout ranks each day.
