The Dataverse Network Project has launched as an easy means of sharing research data. Self-described as An Open-Source Application for Publishing, Citing and Discovering Research Data, Dataverse allows you to create a dedicated web space to publish and share research data with the aim of increasing scholarly awareness of your work.

Fact sheets are available for scholars, publishers, projects and centres and there is a summary handout as well.

The service has two explicit goals:

• To enable data archiving and preservation through re-formatting, standards and exchange protocols.
• To provide control and recognition for data owners through data management and persistent citations.
