Law Library 24/7 Space FAQs
I am in the 24/7 space at closing. What do I do?
All patrons in the library, including the 24/7 space need to leave the library at closing time via the main entrance. You need to take all your belongings with you, please do not leave books, laptops or other personal belongings in the area. This is for security reasons and all bags etc must be taken out of the library with you at closing time.
How long before I can get back in once the library has closed?
The after-hours access door to the 24/7 space will become unlocked 15 minutes after closing. After this time you can re-enter the 24/7 space on level 2.
Where do I access the 24/7 space when the library is closed?
The after-hours access door is located in the Great Court near the Michie Building. The door is unlocked 15 minutes after the library closes and locks again when the library opens.
The library is not open yet. I see some people in the library 24/7 space. Why can't I get in to the library?
You can access the 24/7 space through the after-hours access door until the library opens, 8am Monday-Friday and 12noon on Saturday and Sunday.
Once the library opens the after-hours door is locked and entry is via the main door only.
Please remember that the 24/7 space is only on level 2 & 3 of the Law Library- access to level 4 is locked.
Patrons are responsible for their own personal belongings in the library. Patrons must comply with Library Code of Practice, The Library's Conditions of Use, and the Computer & Internet Conditions of Use.
