2010 Administrative Appeals Tribunal Mooting Comp

Blogs > Law Library Blog

If you are interested in mooting now is the time to join up. The Law School is looking for expressions of interest to join the team for this year's mooting competition.

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal National Mooting Competition is now in its sixth year, and offers participants the opportunity to demonstrate their advocacy skills in the unique merits review jurisdiction of the AAT. The moots involve fact scenarios drawn from a variety of administrative law areas including immigration and citizenship, social security, taxation, veterans’ affairs and workers’ compensation. The competition is open to all law students enrolled in Australian law schools.

Previous UQ moot teams have excelled in this competition, so if you are interested in joining them contact Peter Billings (p.billings@law.uq.edu.au) by 11th June 2010.
