Hi All, End of semester break is a great time to be proactive, I intend to contact open court publishers, publishers or the “popular culture and philosophy” series, and suggest a title for them. The Series includes great titles such as “The Simpsons and Philosophy”, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Philosophy” and “The Atkins Diet and Philosophy”. In this library we hold, pretty much, the entire series and we have the works of other great thinkers such as Plato, Descartes, Hegel, Marx and Nietzsche but one great thinker is noticeably missing: Yogi Berra! The mind that brought us great quotes such as: “When you come to a fork in the road, take it” “It’s tough to make predictions, especially about the future” “You can observe a lot just by looking” When asked why he stopped going to his favourite restaurant he said “nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded” After being told, by the Mayor of New York city’s wife, that he looked “cool” in his summer suit he replied “you don’t look so hot yourself” Yogi’s schoolteacher said to him “You don’t know anything do you Berra?” to which Yogi replied “I don’t even suspect anything Sir”.
