Cochrane have just released their new search platform - Wiley Online Library. Cochrane Library users should be aware of some known issues with the site. They are working to rectify these over the coming weeks: Searching from the homepage: 1. If you go into the Advanced Search page through The Cochrane Library homepage, no headers are generated on the search pages. Here is a direct link to the properly framed search page if it is easier to use this: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/o/cochrane/cochrane_search_fs.html This is expected to be fixed shortly. Search: There are 3 other search-related issues that will be resolved in the coming weeks. #1 will be prioritized. #2 is likely to be fixed in early September and #3 will be cleaned up at some point but is a low priority. 1. URGENT: If the system times out and you are on the search history page or saved search page, you will get a message saying you need to login. The "My Profile" status bar at the top right may not refresh and indicates you are logged in. This issue will be resolved shortly but if you encounter this, simply hit the logout button and then login again. This is limited to these 2 pages and works correctly on all other pages of the site. 2. IMPORTANT (within first month): When displaying "Saved Searches", sort order has changed to oldest searches at the top. This will be changed back shortly to the original sort order, sort by date with most recent searches on the top. 3. LOW (has no impact on searches or functionality): On the saved search pages and search history pages, an error message appears at the bottom of the page indicating "a selected resource" (search-web-footer) is not available. This is because we longer display general links for Wiley at the bottom of the page. It has no impact on your ability to run or save searches. This message will be removed shortly. Browse: 1. Browse by Review Group http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/o/cochrane/cochrane_clsysrev_crglist_fs.html In some browsers, the coloured New and Updated icons are displayed as broken images in the Browse by Review Group listing. 2. Browse by Topic http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/o/cochrane/cochrane_clsysrev_subjects_fs.html Currently it is not possible to open more than one layer at any one time. An alternative Browse list of CDSR can be found on The Cochrane Library homepage. 3. Browse by A-Z http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/o/cochrane/cochrane_clsysrev_articles_fs.html Currently, it is not possible to filter this page by Protocols or Reviews only. Record Counts: The total number of records given in search results has not yet been updated. The site currently reads: There are 6264 results out of 6244 records for: " in Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews" This will be updated this week.
