Free intercampus bus for Gatton Postgraduate students
From 15 July 2011, the Graduate School will be offering complimentary bus
passes for research students who are based at Gatton to allow them to travel to
the St Lucia campus for Graduate School Skills Training and Graduate Student
Week activities.
This pilot initiative has been introduced to encourage multi-disciplinary
collaboration and to assist Gatton students in accessing a broader range of
training activities held at St Lucia.
Each student is entitled to a maximum of 2 (return) bus passes per
semester.
To access these bus passes, students must register for a Skills Training or
Graduate Student Week session then email uqadvantage@gradschool.uq.edu.au
and advise which session they are attending. The email request must be sent 1
week before the scheduled session.
The Graduate School will then forward a return bus pass to the Postgraduate
Administrative Officer in the enrolling School at Gatton for collection by
students.
Students must ensure that they mark their attendance on the attendance sheet at the training session in order to verify their presence. Failure to do this may result in students being asked to pay back the cost of the full bus fare.
