Referencing software

Blogs > Gatton & External Students Blog

Referencing, or bibliographic management, software will help you store the references you have located and then cite them in your essay, paper, thesis or book.

The UQ Library has negotiated site licenses for three referencing software products: EndNote, RefWorks, and EndNote Web. UQ staff and students can use any of these. The Library's referencing software and styles website may assist you with deciding which one is right for you.

There are also free bibliographic software products available. The most notable of these is Zotero, an easy-to-use Firefox extension. It provides good online tutorials and support. Macintosh users may be aware of the software Papers.

For more information see the referencing software and styles website.

The Library runs training in Endnote and RefWorks and provides links to online training from the referencing software and styles website.
