<em>Ask</em> I.T. – Free computer help and training for students
Welcome new students and welcome back continuing students. We
hope the time you spend at UQ Gatton will be productive and trouble
free. However, if you find you do need help with computing
problems, the Ask
I.T. staff are ready to help.
Ask I.T. is a free computer help and training service
available for UQ students. If you have any computer related
problems or want to learn how to use a particular software program,
you can contact
Ask I.T. either in person at one of the Help Desks, by
telephone or via email.
The help desk at UQ Gatton Library is located downstairs
on the lower level across from the eZones and will operate between
10am and 4pm.
Over the first semester, training classes will be on offer at
Gatton. The first of these classes, IT Essentials at UQ, is
designed to assist new students familiarize themselves with the UQ
computing environment. This class will be held during O Week on
Friday, 27 February, from 10am-11am in the Gatton Library, eZone2.
The schedule for other
classes at Gatton will include, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and will
be available soon.
Online training is also available through Learningfast
which offers interactive training at your own pace in Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and other programs.
