At times it can seem almost impossible to know all the finer details regarding copyright. UQ Library is privileged to have the services of our Copyright Coordinator, Mr Tom Joyce, to explain these details.

In February, Tom will be visiting Gatton Campus to share his knowledge regarding copyright. The new series of copyright guides tailor-made for the UQ environment will be introduced and discussed. The scope of statutory and commercial licenses will be examined and strategies for overcoming limitations explored. Issues to be mindful of in searching for teaching and learning resources on the Web will be examined. Current topics before policymakers, including orphaned copyright works, parallel importation of books and resale royalties for artists, will be discussed. There will be plenty of time for questions.
