The Biology Image Library is an online collection of images, movies, illustrations and animations across biology and biomedicine, for use in education and research. The subjects covered are:

Development Biology Histology & Pathology Immunology Microbiology & Parasitology Molecular & Cellular Biology Neuroscience Plant Biology

You can download as much material as you want for non-commercial purposes, such as for use in lectures or seminars. For more details, see our user's agreement. Some images in the library are in the public domain and you are free to use this material as you wish. In other cases, the Biology Image Library may be able to sell you commercial use rights to an image or direct you to the copyright holder to obtain these rights.
