Document Delivery and PDFs
Have you requested, or plan to request, an article from the
Library via the Document Delivery
system? Sometimes it may be supplied to you by an email that will
advise you that the item has been posted on the Web. There will be
a link to a webpage where you can login and view your
article.
You login by typing your full email address and
copying the Item ID from the email and pasting it
in the correct box on the login page. Once logged in you should see
a list of the articles supplied. Remember, when copying the Item
ID, you should copy only the information inside the brackets. Once
you have logged in correctly, be sure to read the instructions on
the page before clicking the link to view the item.
One important thing to check before clicking on the link is to make
sure you have pop-ups disabled in your web
browser. More information about doing this can be found on the
Library's PDF viewing
help page.
You will also need the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
If you don't have the reader you will not be able to view the
document. There is a link on the page that will take you to a site
where you can download the program onto your computer. This
software is also one of the useful applications included on the
Ask
I.T. Handy CD. You can contact the UQ Gatton Library for a
copy of the CD.
