Findings of the International Journal Use and Reading Patterns Survey

Professor Carol Tenopir will visit The University of Queensland to present her report on the Journal Use and Reading Patterns Survey, conducted in 2012.

The Survey asked questions about the reading of scholarly articles from both print and electronic sources by academic staff and undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The University of Queensland was selected as one of two Australian universities to participate in the study. The results of the study will contribute to international research on the reading of scholarly journal articles.

Gatton Recreational Reading Collection

Now that exams are over, why not borrow some fiction to read over the holidays?

The Gatton recreational reading collection has novels and popular magazines. It is jointly funded by the library, the Gatton Halls of Residence and the Gatton Campus. The usual loan periods and quantities apply.

If you're keeping any items for the holidays, remember to renew them before they're due. You can renew your books online, through your 'My Library' record on the library's homepage - www.library.uq.edu.au.

Also, check your UQ email account regularly for notices to return any recalled items. Higher fines apply to overdue recalls, so avoid them if you can. If you're having any difficulties getting your books back to the library on time, just give us a call on 5460 1137.
