EndNote X2.0.1 (Windows and Mac) now available

Blogs > Endnote Blog

The latest version of EndNote is now available for download by all UQ staff and students.

For a detailed guide to new features, see our What's New in EndNote X2 page. The Smart Groups and Find Full Text feature should be popular with many users.

If you are upgrading from an earlier version of EndNote, there are two issues that you should particularly note:

Folder Locations: Read the information on our What's New page. When upgrading, you must go to Edit>Preferences>Folder Locations and then click on the EndNote Defaults button to set up the location for the personal folders. If you download or edit any styles, filters or connection files, save them in these personal folders.

Online Search (Connection Files): The EndNote software supplied by the UQ Library includes the X2.0.1 patch. When you open a library, you will be able to see the three mode icons in the top left-hand corner of the library window. We strongly recommend that you select the local mode (middle icon). If you want to do an online search, use the online mode (right icon) and return to local mode when finished. We advise against using the integrated mode (left icon). See the information on our What's New page.
