A revised EndNote filter for the Pubmed database is now available for download from our website.

Several people had asked me if it was possible to download the full journal title from Pubmed, in addition to the standard abbreviated journal title. The new filter will import the full journal title into the Alternate Journal field in EndNote.

Bear in mind that many Pubmed records do not include the full journal title. Where the full journal title is available, it is extracted from the National Library of Medicine catalogue and is not always in a format that would be used in normal bibliographic citation.

The revised filter will also import the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) into the URL field.
