Checking and Updating your Author Profile in Scopus

Blogs > Research Support: Engineering and Sciences

In Scopus, each author is assigned a unique number, the Scopus Author Identifier that allows publications by the same author to be grouped together. However, being a mere computer algorithm, sometimes not all your publications will be listed under the one unique author profile. To fix this you can request Scopus to merge all your publications into the one author profile.

The process is straightforward, in Scopus, do an "author search" (use the "author search" tag to do this) using your last name and initials or first name. This will return a set of possible author results grouped together under single identifier numbers on the basis of an algorithm. Select from the listed author sets those that are indeed you. When you have completed your selections, click on "Request to merge authors" on the top/bottom of the "author results" page, and follow the instructions.
