TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and
is an annual conference series which brings together the world's
most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the
talk of their lives (in 18 minutes). Previous presenters include
famous names like Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Isabel Allende and Bono:
for Business, Economics and Tourism, economists George Ayittey,
Paul Collier and Yochai Benkler, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Ideo CEO
Tim Brown, Virgin CEO Richard Branson, and more.
The TED website, http://www.ted.com makes the best talks
and performances from TED available to the public, for free. More
than 200 talks from theirarchive are now available, with more added
each week.
Use the Search to search for talks on a theme, or browse the list
of themes or speakers for a presentation that suits your needs.
There are no licensing restrictions: videos can be shown in
lectures or posted to Blackboard for students to view.
