It's a tiny world
A picture of a mosquito's heart muscle (magnified 100 times) is the winner, but it is just one of the stunning images on display at Wired Science's Top 20 microscope photographs of the year. There are also images of zebrafish olfactory bulbs, endothelial cells, crystallised soy sauce, a wasp's nest and other colourful marvels.
