AARNet currently mirror and keep up to date several large datasets deemed of high collective value by their respective scientific communities. With the assistance of the Australian Research Collaboration Service (ARCS), the AARNet Mirror now includes two large data sets of value to the biomedical research community - NCBI’s Non-Redundant Protein Sequence database and the Nucleotide Sequence database. AARNet also provide compute cycles close to the Mirror, in order to reprocess the data to suit the formats used by the Australian biomedical research community. Check things out for yourselves at the AARNet Mirror (http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/).

You can also make suggestions of other databases you would like to see replicated.
