There is a new food vending machine in the Biological Sciences Library on level 1, next to the water fountain. The machine sells muesli and fruit bars, crackers with cheese or vegemite, fruit juices, flavoured milk, popcorn, mints and other snacks. The snacks are on offer are much lower in fat and sugar than conventional snacks such as chips or chocolate. The Library has installed the machine to provide some food choices for students during the upcoming revision and examination period when the library will be open 24/7 (apart from 9-5 on Saturdays). Most other campus food outlets are closed in the wee hours, so the new vending machine should provide some sustenance for those studying late. The 24/7 opening starts at midnight on Monday 25 October and ends at midnight on Friday, 19 November.
