UQ's Equity Office released a DVD called Respect yesterday. You can watch the different sections of it online. The University hosts students from a multitude of ages and backgrounds, and students can have quite different expectations about social relationships. This movie aims to foster respect and understanding between students at UQ by discussing the kinds of behaviours (such as racism, homophobia) that are unacceptable on campus. One section discusses cultural and faith-based boundaries that students need to be aware of, and another highlights students' rights and responsibilities.
