For greater knowledge on more subjects use your library more often

Hi Everyone,

Since the UQ Library has such as large collection of print and electronic resources it can sometimes be a bit of a challenge to find the info that you need for your assignments. To help you learn how to more efficiently find info in the library there are a range of training classes offered:

All classes are held in eZone 2, Level 1, Library Duhig Building, UQ St Lucia (Bldg 2/12)

Class Content:

In this class you will learn:

* How to navigate the Library home page * How to identify Course Materials * How to identify Subject guides and How-to guides * How to search the Library Catalogue * How to identify journal articles * How to view a loan record and renew a loan

Finding Journal Articles for Research Assignments

In this class you will find out how to conduct further research to support your assignments.

Class Content:

In this class you will learn:

* What is a database * Why you should use databases * Which one should you use * How to find a database * Which guides will help * How to search effectively * How to retrieve the information you have found
