Wireless Printing

You can print from your Windows/MAC laptop at the University using Eduroam.

Windows:

  1. Download the Windows installer
  2. Extract the zip file and double click on AddLibraryPrinter.bat
  3. Follow the prompts to install the print queue.

Notes:

  • When asked for your username, you must put uq\ at the beginning (eg. uq\s1234567)
  • You must be a UQ Student or Staff member to use wireless printing.
  • You must be on the UQ eduroam network to print.

Mac OSX:

  1. Download the MAC installer
  2. Open the file and run the Install Library Printer application.
  3. Follow the prompts to install the print queue.

Notes:

  • You will be asked for your username and password the first time you print. Click Remember this password in my keychain if you don't want to be prompted again.
  • You must be a UQ Student or Staff member to use wireless printing.
  • You must be on the UQ eduroam network to print.
  • If you are using Mountain Lion, you will need to Allow applications downloaded from Anywhere in Security & Privacy in System Preferences.

Question: I've just pressed Print. What do I do now?

Once the Library print queue is installed on your laptop - it operates in the same way as printing from a Library workstation.
